Have you ever wondered how codes are developed or where they come from? One of the many benefits of being an AFAA member is the eligiblity to apply for a technical committee.

How to Get Involved
Participate
Members are eligible to participate in the Codes and Standards committee and offer their expertise on upcoming editions.
Members are encouraged to attend meetings, even to observe, so you can understand how the code making process works.
Get engaged, so you know what the code says, as well as why.
Apply
Members can apply to join a technical committee and represent AFAA’s interests on outside organizations.
Once approved as a Technical Committee member, you will attend meetings (virtually or in-person) to represent AFAA.
AFAA Technical Committee members deliver directed votes to support AFAA’s interests.
