AFAA is offering the NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) Primer course. This 21-hour course is designed to teach learners to apply the Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) body of knowledge from the 21st edition of the Fire Protection Handbook (FPH) in preparation for the certification exam. This is an in-person only class offering and space is limited!

Cost includes: lunch and snacks on all three days, a discounted hotel rate link will be provided upon registering, and free 90-day NFPA LINK access to aid in your exam prep.
FPH Cost: $749, includes shipping. To ensure on-time delivery, you must register and order the handbook before 12/31/2025. Attendees that register after 12/31/25 are responsible for obtaining their own copy of the handbook.
Additional course details:
The goal of this training is to teach learners to apply the Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) body of knowledge from the 21st edition of the Fire Protection Handbook (FPH) in preparation for the certification exam. Areas of focus include; FPH navigation, safety in the built environment, information and analysis for fire protection and fire science, fire prevention, facility fire hazard management, organizing for fire and rescue services, detection and alarm, fire suppression, and confining fires.
AFAA is an Authorized NFPA Training Provider.
