Simplifying Fire Alarm Wiring and Performance Requirements

Fire alarm system wiring can be complex. This free 60-minute presentation is intended to assist designers, installers/electricians, and AHJ’s to better understand these requirements. This program will focus on both the installation and performance requirements for fire alarm system wiring, including the requirements found in NFPA 70(R), and the performance requirements found in NFPA 72.

Merton Bunker | Senior Discipline Engineer | Coffman Engineers

Merton Bunker is the Senior Discipline Manager for Coffman Engineers, based in Raleigh, NC. He has 40 years of engineering experience, including seven years at the National Fire Protection Association as staff liaison to the NEC (NFPA 70 and National Fire Alarm Code (NFPA 72). He is active in codes and standards development and is the former chair of the Signaling Systems for the Protection of Life and Property Correlating Committee (NFPA 72). Merton is the current Vice President of AFAA.
