Understanding Emergency Communication Systems, Risk Analysis and Voice Intelligibility
Presented by: Jack Poole, Principal, Poole Fire Protection
As a result of tragic and emergency events over the last decade, the demand for Mass Notification Systems (MNS) has grown. Government agencies, major corporations and institutional organizations are attempting to determine how to provide real-time emergency communication instructions to their employees, visitors and other occupants within their facilities/complex. The National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFASC), NFPA 72, has recently been expanded to include guidance for Emergency Communications Systems (ECS), which may be a basis for a more extensive Mass Notification System. Through the attendance of this webinar, Mr. Poole will help the participants have a better understanding of both in-building and wide-area ECS, what drives an ECS to be installed, how to perform a Risk Analysis and the importance of voice intelligibility.
