AFAA's Webinar Series

Join us for a Webinar on Friday September 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM EST

Fire & Life Safety Code Changes by CMS for Healthcare

Effective July 5, 2016, the 2012 Edition of NFPA 101 and the 2010 Edition of NFPA 72 will apply to all health care facilities participation in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement programs.

What impact will the new standards have on facilities that were previously required to comply with the 2000 Edition of NFPA 101 (and the 1999 Edition of NFPA 72)?

The webinar will focus on the fire alarm system requirements, and related inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements for health care facilities. In addition, the webinar will present an analysis prepared by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) regarding findings cited by the Joint Commission and identify ways in which fire alarm contractors can partner with their health care clients to address those findings.

Presented by:
William Koffel, P.E, FSFPE, Koffel Associates and
