You are invited to join the Rocky Mountain Automatic Fire Alarm Association (RMAFAA)! This is the only Colorado-based association dedicated solely to improving the quality, reliability, and value of fire alarm and related life safety systems.
The quality of our association is determined largely by our members. We currently have members from all aspects of the life safety community, including engineers, manufacturers, inspectors, installers, end users, and AHJ/fire service. By being a member and participating in our events, you get a chance to network with other fire alarm professionals, hear about the latest industry trends and products, receive quality training, and have a voice into the codes and standards-making process.
Your local membership with RMAFAA gives you access to National AFAA benefits, such as:
- Subscription to the monthly member e-bulletin.
- Discounts on online training and seminars.
- Discounts on ICC and NFPA publications and forms.
- Free recorded webinars.
- AFAA Buyer’s Guide increases visibility and creates business opportunities.
- AFAA provides technical assistance on interpretations of codes and standards.
- Hertz Rental Car discounts.
- Numerous industry benefits, including influencing codes and standards, representation on standard committees, industry research, and a wealth of training and networking opportunities.
RMAFAA’s membership year runs from May 1, 2014 – April 30, 2015. Our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday May 20, 2014 and will feature a guest speaker on the topic History of Smoke Detection – Story of Saving Lives. After a summer break, this will be followed by meetings currently planned for September 16 and November 18, as well as meetings on January 20 and March 17 of 2015. Our meetings are normally held at the Doubletree Hotel in Westminster (Highway 36 at Sheridan Blvd) and include an excellent lunch and training session of one or more hours, all for a nominal fee.
Our membership dues have changed this year to a simpler format as shown below. This simplified membership structure will give all members an equal standing in our organization and provide all with access to the extensive local and national benefits of AFAA. Additionally, this membership structure will allow us to offer membership to all AHJ’s in our community at no charge! We hope many of our AHJ’s will join our membership this year, which will add tremendous value to our entire organization.
If we have convinced you to join our association, please send your contact information (name, company/organization, address, and email) to email@example.com or contact anyone on our Board of Directors listed below. You will be provided with information on your membership. Alternatively, you may pay for your membership at any of our meetings. RMAFAA is excited to announce that we now accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) for payment of membership dues and meeting fees.
We value your input as well. Please let myself or another member of the board know if there are things that the RMAFAA can improve or things that you would like for us to provide for the membership in the future.
We look forward to your membership and, more importantly, your participation!
